Cait LyddyCait Lyddy

With over 20 years of Pilates experience, Cait brings a wealth of knowledge to Fairfield Pilates as its new owner and instructor. Cait was first exposed to the Pilates Method as a dancer in NYC and began a liberating transformation in how she inhabited her body. The Kane School of Core Integration is where Cait turned for her teacher's certification which provided her with a strong base in anatomy as well as the tools for teaching a variety of populations.

Her 15 year career as a ballet and modern dancer fostered Cait's keen sense of movement which helps in guiding her clients through a satisfying physical experience. After 22 years in Manhattan, Cait moved to Weston with her husband and 2 kids in 2003 and taught at Physical Intelligence and Pilates Studio of Fairfield before opening Westport Pilates in 2006. She continues her exploration into the Pilates Method through conferences, courses and constant research.

Cait is a certified member of the Pilates Method Alliance.


Stephanie Peterson JonesStephanie Peterson Jones

Former owner of the Pilates Studio of Fairfield, Stephanie started practicing pilates in 1998, following her recovery from back surgery. She received her certification from the world-renowned Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, a comprehensive and rigorous training program.

She has continued her study of Pilates with Kathy Grant, one of the Pilates "elders", Irene Dowd, master teacher of anatomy, kinesiology and movement in New York City, as well as many other wonderful teachers from all over the world. She completed the Master's Program through the Pilates Center in Boulder in 2009.

Stephanie is a Connecticut native and is a member of the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance).


Erica MaraErica Mara

Since receiving her STOTT and Pilates Academy International certifications in mat and apparatus, Erica has been helping others reach their individual fitness goals through the mind/body connection.

Erica began as a dancer and spent the last 12 years performing in numerous shows throughout the country. Through her pursuit of dance and its rigorous training, Erica followed her natural sense of precision and discovered the wonders of Pilates. Applying creativity, communication and motivation, she is utilizing her extensive dance knowledge combined with her Pilates education to teach her clients.

Erica’s goal is to create a fun, safe and exciting Pilates experience that will satisfy each persons
specific needs.

She is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance.


Nicole McAllister

Nicole McAllister has been a Pilates instructor for eight years. She got her first certification in Denver, CO through the Physical Mind Institute. After teaching for a couple years she also became certified in Pre-Natal Pilates and Pilates for Re-Hab.

Five years ago, she also received her PMA Master certification. She is thrilled to be teaching here in Fairfield and loves to meet new clients.

 


Steve CioppaSteve Cioppa

Steve is a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer and TRX Suspension Trainer instructor. He has an extensive history in health promotion and management of individual physical fitness.

His background of natural bodybuilding competitions led him to seek out certification as a way to help others and share his passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

"My priority is to pay it forward and help as many people as I can achieve their fitness goals using every tool I can." In addition to teaching TRX groups classes at Fairfield Pilates, Steve is also available for private, customized TRX sessions that can be tailored to specific goals.

He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and owner of Steve Cioppa Personal Training which provides in-home personal training and weight management.


Tracy BloomTracy Bloom

Certified Pilates Instructor Tracy Bloom was introduced to Pilates by second-generation teacher MaryAnne Genuario in 2003, a student of Pilates elder Mary Bowen.

After many years teaching Pilates matwork, Tracy Bloom was certified in 2010 by the United States Pilates AssociationT a licensee of the New York Pilates StudioR Teacher Certification Program, the first and oldest Pilates professional training program in the world.

She trains regularly with Master Teachers Simona Cipriani and Shari Berkowitz, both second-generation teachers certified by Joseph Pilates' protege Romana Kryzanowska. Tracy has attended education workshops with Peter Fiasca, Brett Howard, Tracy Fiore, Kathi Ross-Nash, and Dorothee VandeWalle, and has studied privately with Mejo Wiggins, Danielle Armstrong, and many other wonderful instructors.

Tracy Bloom attended Columbia University and Sarah Lawrence College, and has a BS degree. She practices licensed therapeutic massage in New York and Connecticut, and is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy comprehensive 2-year program.

Tracy is also American Council on Exercise certified to train personal fitness, and is a competitive weightlifter with Team Connecticut Weightlifting Club, having achieved the title of Master's National Champion in 2008. "Healing occurs in the presence of movement."

A favorite saying is, "Healing occurs in the presence of movement".


Leslie GluckLeslie Gluck

LesLeslie received her training in "Authentic Pilates", including anatomy and physiology studies from the Art of Control at Purchase College. She has trained and studied under teachers directly linked to Joseph Pilates and his original teaching methods; Second Generation Master Teacher Simona Cipriani and Second Generation Master Teacher of Teachers and Educational Director of the Pilates Method Alliance, Brett Howard.

In Pilates, Leslie has found an excellent way to strengthen and tone the whole body, delivering improvements in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, abdominal strength, and decreases in back, neck & joint pain. Leslie believes that the practice of Pilates is an important compliment to other fitness practices as well, through its focus on building strength and flexibility, long lean muscles and a full body workout that develops the body uniformly.

With her strong passion and belief in the method, Leslie will guide you to help achieve your personal fitness goals.


Meeghan WhiteMeeghan White

Meeghan White is a graduate of Boston College, from which she received a Bachelor of Science degree.

While living in New York City, she became a devotee of the Pilates Method and went on to earn her Pilates certification from the highly regarded Kane School of Core Integration, where she studied with Kelly Kane.

Her training with Kane synthesized the classic Pilates choreography, beginning, intermediate, and advanced protocols, and modern biomechanical principles. She went on to complete the Pilates Center of Boulder’s summer intensive in Colorado to further enhance her teaching skills on the mat and all Pilates equipment.

Now with over 15 years Pilates experience, she enjoys blending the classical repertoire with fun, non-traditional, challenging movements to achieve a long, slender, streamlined physique.

Meeghan lives in Fairfield with her husband and two children. In addition to Pilates she enjoys yoga and golf and is an active volunteer in the community.  She is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and is PMA Certified.   


Anabella Duca

Anabella is a Pilates, Yoga , TRX Instructor and a Personal Trainer. She is a life long student in physical fitness, coming from a background of ballet, dance and gymnastics. Always having a drive for fitness and a passion to educate others, her involvement with Pilates, Yoga and Personal training was just a natural progression in her life.

Focusing on body awareness, Anabella is a strong believer in the benefits of core conditioning, strengthening and building through Pilates and combines diverse elements with different Pilates equipment and other gym apparatus in her 1 on 1 sessions.

Anabella is dedicated to promoting her clients physical, spiritual and emotional growth. She has an amazing ability to motivate each client by enthusiastically sharing her knowledge. It is her foremost goal to enrich the lives of those around her.


Kristin JosephKristin Joseph

Our office manager, Kristin Joseph, has several years of management experience. She has previously managed a Pilates studio in which she excelled at introducing new clients to the studio, answering questions regarding the practice of Pilates, organizing client files, scheduling appointments/classes and composing the studio newsletters.

Additionally, she has worked as a public school teacher. She taught 4th grade, 1st grade and Kindergarten curricula. As a teacher she successfully collaborated with parents and resource teachers to best meet the needs of all students. She received her B.A. in English and M.T. in Childhood Education from the University of Virginia.

Her life mantra is "Live Well, Be Well." Kristin promotes this mantra by staying active through Pilates, cycling and running in addition to fueling the body with nutritious wholesome foods. She is committed to improve the well being of others through incorporating the practice of Pilates into a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Her favorite Joseph Pilates quote is, "A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of doing sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion."

Kristin is available to teach apprentice sessions at a discounted rate.


Jennifer PollackJennifer Pollack

Fascinated by the benefits of Pilates, Jennifer Pollack became certified to teach Pilates in 1996 by Joseph Pilates' protege, Romana Kryzanowska.

She has taught Pilates at Power Pilates ( New York City and Bedford Hills), Canyon Ranch Tucson, and the Pilates Studio of Fairfield. In 2009 Jennifer completed a second certification with Power Pilates.

She continues to further her knowledge of the Pilates Method by taking workshops and lessons from other instructors.


Seth Anne Snider-CopleySeth Anne Snider-Copley

M.A., Kinesiotherapist, Exercise Specialist, Author

Seth Anne Snider-Copley, author, exercise specialist, kinesiotherapist and somatic therapist has devoted 22 years to helping people lead healthier, happier and more productive lives. Seth began her Pilates training personally in Denver, Colorado in 1992 with Michael Green and went on to train with Body Dynamics in Boulder Colorado and ISCA (International Sports Conditioning Association).

In 1998 Seth went on to advance her training in France at Le Studio Pilates de Paris and Polestar.

Seth is internationally recognized for her knowledge and education in the field of health and wellness. She was one of the official United States Ski Team conditioning specialists in Boulder, Colorado at Body Dynamics as well as an internationally recognized master trainer for the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) for more than 15 years. Her specialties include post rehabilitation and sports conditioning.


Karis LeBlancKaris LeBlanc

Karis was certified through the Core Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training program in New York City.

She has had a passion for movement and athletics all of her life. Karis' first brush with Pilates was in 1999 when she helped a friends mother build her first Pilates studio in Ridgefield. From her first session Karis loved the way Pilates made her body feel connected, and later how it changed the way she looked and moved.

Karis moved to New York City in 2003 and decided to get certified to teach Pilates, allowing for a job that is also a passion. She has completed numerous workshops through Core Pilates NYC and Equinox Fitness Clubs, training under Pilates Masters, Irene Dowd, Bob Liekins, and anatomy courses with Tom Meyers.

Karis gains her strength and passion for teaching from the inspiration her clients give her when they build their own strength and understating of the method, allowing them to move in ways they never thought possible.
